Many of you may already be quite familiar with this not-so-new trend of the peplum design. I too own a couple of of peplum style dresses from H&M, but had no idea how much I loved the style until post-surgery, when I needed coverage only a peplum could handle.
According to Wikipedia- Peplum is a Greek word for tunic, and usually implies an overskirt attached to a fitted jacket, blouse or dress.
Without a lot of time to shop, I found myself at Nordstrom UTC in the dress department, with a lovely navy lace/jacquard dress by Adrianna Papell for $200 in my hand. I wore my new beloved “pooch parasol” to the Zagat Editors event at Warwick’s bookstore in La Jolla.
Here are a few of my favorites around town and on the celebs.
