A Mini/Miami-Break in Shopping Austerity.

I’m in love with DSW–The Designer Shoe Warehouse.

Though I don’t always find something I want, today I hit it perfectly.

Heading to Miami next week for a short, but much needed vacation, I find myself one shoe short of being fully equipped. In addition to my flip-flops and sexy heels, I’m in desperate need of something to walk and bike in.  Shopping in DSW today, I was almost overwhelmed by the variety of choices–and all at prices my wallet can handle.

I want comfortable but cute. Bike-able but not Birkenstock. Flat but not frightful.

In a scant 10 minutes, I found these very simple but quintessential summer flats. Dressy enough to dine in, but easy enough to walk in.

They were $39.99 full-price and also came in a beautiful turquoise. The brand is Bc and the style is “Green-Eyed Monster”–no idea why. Except maybe people will be jealous of my great shoes at such inexpensive prices…

If you haven’t taken a good look at DSW lately, I suggest you get your butt over there. The handbags were great too.

I settled for this warm brown to go with all of my brightly colored dresses.
