Spoke with the kids at FIDM yesterday. A group of future boutique owners, buyers, and possibly hot designers–all ready to take the fashion world by storm.
The new FIDM space is amazingly beautiful. Housed downtown in the East Village, it’s very modern, colorful, cool, and bright. The interior walls are clear yellow glass, there are banks of computers everywhere, and manequins wearing vintage dresses and gowns spread throughout.
I can only hope I offered them some useful words. Who really knows how we get where we get, other than a lot of hard work and some help in the networking department.
