Manis and Pedis and Scrubbing oh my!
Feeling the adrenaline let down from NYFW, and with numerous deadlines looming, I went into this past weekend thinking only about work.
Little did I know how much of my “work” would be so “fun”.
Friday afternoon I promised a wonderful PR person that I would squeeze in a mani/pedi with their new client–20 Lounge in Cardiff-By-The-Sea. I ended up enjoying a fantastic treatment and was even seated next to the very sweet Michelle Guerin from DiscoverSD, and we had a lovely chat.
After a relaxing dinner at home and catching up on all my DVR goodies, I headed down to Andaz for a Pacific San Diego Magazine party. I had a very quick drink and said my hellos to editor/publisher David Perloff and his knockout wife Simone.
Saturday morning, I arrived bright and early to Bloomingdale’s to pull outfits for my Sunday morning CW segment “Rebekah’s Picks for Fall Fashion”. PR director, Rhonda Brown was her usual incredibly organized self and I was out in under 2hrs.
Next up to Solana Beach, to one of my favorite boutiques, Pink Lagoon, for a look at the clothing and a meeting with the sales associates who graciously offered model for the CW segment.
Saturday night, I headed up to Sorrento Valley for my friend Shiela Nellis’ charity event for Feeding America. Chef Debora Scott fed us, and the crowd was a group of powerhouse women and men–like Larry King’s producer Wendy Walker to start with.
Sunday at 5am I was driving my son and his gigantic friend Z to the airport for a school trip to look at colleges. OMG!!!
Sunday at 7, I arrived at CW station to do our segment. The models all looked great, the producer was amazing, and the segment turned out well.
Drove quickly to meet up with friends for my usual Sunday 9am 5 mile walk.
Then off the Aqua Day Spa on Convoy Street for a day at the Korean Spa. I was scrubbed in never before places–I soaked, baked, and sweated away my stress. Lunch at the Convoy Noodle House for grilled sole in a curry sauce, and home to nap. Happy Birthday Jamie!
Exhausted, I collapsed at 9:30pm.
Great weekend. Great friends. Now it’s back to work.
