Are You a Black Woman in Georgia Seeking Abortion Care?
A journalist with Capital B wants to hear your story.
My name is Rebekah Sager, and I’m a journalist reporting for Capital B, a nonprofit news organization covering issues affecting Black communities.
I’m working on a story about how Black women in Georgia are navigating the state’s six-week abortion restriction, and I’m hoping to speak with women who are going through the experience right now.
Specifically, I’m looking to connect with:
- A Black woman who is pregnant and trying to obtain an abortion before the six-week cutoff.
- A Black woman who is beyond six weeks and is making arrangements to travel out of Georgia for abortion care.
I want to understand what this experience looks like in everyday life — finding a provider, getting an appointment, managing costs, arranging transportation, taking time away from work, caring for family, and making deeply personal decisions.
My goal is to tell these stories with accuracy, compassion, and respect, giving women the opportunity to describe their experiences in their own words.
